Every time we are entrusted with your home, we treat it like a privilege. Working with clients from all backgrounds on projects of all shapes and sizes, including homeowners and interior designers throughout Ontario, we treat every kitchen design, bathroom renovation, and custom cabinet project with the care and craftsmanship it deserves.
Open-concept kitchen and living space
To start, we completely transformed the main floor of the house. By taking out the load-bearing wall between the outdated kitchen and dining room, removing the wall between the existing living room and kitchen, raising the sunken living room floor, and closing off an awkward doorway to the hallway, we changed the layout of the kitchen to create a massive, more current space. To create a distinction between the spaces, an oak island worked perfectly while complementing their new white kitchen cabinets and naturally-veined soapstone countertops and backsplash.
The Burnham Kitchen is the definition of a full transformation. Completed in two parts, we changed the layout of the kitchen to create an open-concept kitchen and family room that allowed this family to gather together in one space.
Ensuite sanctuary
The key to creating a sanctuary out of this bathroom was removing the old built-in bathtub and shower combination, opening up the space, and adding custom bathroom cabinetry. As the second part of the Burnham renovation we completed, the complexity of working in an existing second-floor bathroom produced challenges but it turned out incredible!
For Roy and Diana's ensuite, we transformed this bathroom into an oasis with a floor-to-ceiling glass shower that is unlike anything else, ample built-in cabinet storage, and luxurious twin sinks.
Kitchen, bathroom, and mudroom/laundry room
With such a large open space to work with, we were able to fit in an extra large island, tall kitchen cupboards, and a beautifully finished crown to the ceiling. To show off their personality, the floating shelves added a modern touch while giving them extra kitchen storage space. Looking out to their beautiful backyard oasis, their sink was framed with built-in cabinets and by wrapping their supporting I-beam in barn wood, we completed the look of a transitional kitchen. Rounding out the project, we continued their custom cabinets into a functional mudroom that doubled as a laundry room for their grandkids who are always moving in and out from outside!
The kitchen renovation at Mountain was a special kitchen for our team. Our client was building a fully custom home and by adding custom cabinets, we were able to add character to this open space while showing off their personality and improving their kitchen's functionality for their busy family.
Bathroom oasis
From the clean paneled woodwork cabinetry to the open shelf vanity, these bathrooms became another feature room in this beautiful house. Having the opportunity to work with the homeowner as the designer and builder allowed us to bring our custom bathroom cabinets to the forefront.
Highlighting the beauty in simplicity, the custom bathroom cabinetry at the Koorneefs’ Mountain house was built to provide this family with excellent storage with built-in cabinets while adding flair to their bathrooms.
Kitchen
To transform this once non-functional kitchen, we started by refinishing the real wood plank floors as the foundation for their kitchen design. By closing off a doorway to an office room and opening up the walls between their existing dining room and old kitchen, we were able to create a beautiful space with an island the entire family could gather around. The clean, flat panelled doors gave the kitchen a modern touch, complete with an oversized fridge and two ovens to feed a large group of family and friends.
As an 80-year-old home, the Effingham project's kitchen renovation provided unique challenges to update the space while honouring its history. By opening up the space and changing the layout of their kitchen, we transformed this once cramped, tiny space into a gathering place for the entire family.
Kitchen
By adding an open shelf unit at the end of the island, we took extra care to add design features that created a unique and inviting atmosphere. The matte black soapstone countertops complimented the bamboo wood doors wonderfully, which we highlighted with a bright green glass backsplash for a trendy touch.
Ann and Doug’s kitchen renovation was a special project we did out in Toronto to help a client as they made their home in the city after a recent move. While going into the city presented its own challenges, the final result was more than worth it for a family who wanted to incorporate some unique pieces into their space.
Kitchen
By removing multiple walls, repositioning the patio door, and opening up the throughway, we changed the layout of the kitchen to give this clean black and white space a larger-than-life feel. The extra large island is perfect for gathering, while the second "breakfast" island comes in handy when hosting large groups in the nearby dining room. Complete with matte black soapstone countertops that are the perfect complement to the white built-in kitchen cabinets, white quartz, and black-stained maple woodwork cabinetry, we transformed the entire look and feel of the space from the ground up.
This kitchen renovation is a true display of our capabilities. Since our client was a busy family, our goal was to create a space centred on connection and built for hosting large groups and the everyday memories made in the heart of their home.
Main bath and guest washroom
As we transformed the main bathroom and guest washroom, our priority was to provide the family and their houseguests with functional areas that had ample bathroom storage with custom cabinets. With curbless floor-to-ceiling glass, we created a sanctuary for the owners and their visitors to enjoy.
The bathroom renovations at Fourth were a continuation of the renovation of the kitchen at Fourth. Completing all of these projects at once called for a precise renovation coordinator to complete this home as quickly and seamlessly as possible to deliver a main and guest bathroom makeover that felt like this client's personal getaway.
